29/10 Food adventures with the D class: French food

Another Wednesday, another food adventure with the D class! (Though I doubt it will be a regular thing, this was a special occasion to celebrate Sv's birthday.)

This time, we went to a French restaurant in Kioicho to have lunch. It seemed pretty classy on the front, but actually had quite a causal atmosphere once you went inside. The waiters all did their best to shout French dish names back and forth to each other, and with my untrained ears for French, I think it sounded pretty okay.

Didn't take any pictures of the lunch unfortunately, it just didn't seem right then. I don't even remember what I ate! Oh yeah, mashed potatoes with pork, yummers. I haven't had mashed potatoes for a while, don't eat it that often in Sweden either. The original plan was that we would pay for our own lunch, but then H-sensei said that she'd treat us to dessert! She's so generous. ;_; And it wasn't cheap either, we all ordered tea or coffe and cake for about 100kr each and we were a group of five people.

Coffee art and lemon whipped cream cake! Don't know about the coffee (not mine) but the cake was delicious.

We had taken our time eating and chatting when we suddenly realized that we only had five minutes left until class started. H-sensei claimed that it'd be faster if she paid for everything with her card so she ended up treating us all to food again! And sure lunch wasn't that expensive, but treating four other people certainly is! And if that wasn't enough, she treated us to a taxi ride back to school as well. Oh gosh... I won't let it happen next time. We should really give something back to her and not just keep receiving and taking. But what can you give as a present to a Japanese person in Japan? I have to talk to the others...

What I like to keep myself busy with

I am one fourth of the Swedish illustrator/manga/game studio Yokaj Studio, so I'm making this a shameless advertising spot for us.

We've just released our first comic/Swedish manga Kick Off!, and we're really proud of it, so if you're interested in it (even though it's only in Swedish for now) please check it out! It'd make us super happy. Thanks!

Kick Off!
